Health Management Research and Training Center was established in Beijing
On August 24, 2020, the Health Management Research and Training Center was officially established in Beijing. The founding meeting was presided over by Mr. Xu Xiegu, executive vice president and Secretary-General of China Health Promotion Foundation. More than 40 specialists, scholars, and enterprise representatives from the health management field and Professor Yang Yuexin of China Nutrition Society attended the meeting.

The Health Management Research and Training Center was jointly established by the China health promotion foundation, the health management branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the editorial department of the Chinese Journal of health management, Zhongguancun Xinzhiyuan Health Management Research Institute, Zhongguancun Zhuoyi Institute of chronic disease prevention and technology innovation, and the health management branch of the Chinese Dietetics Association. It is a social public welfare platform with health management research and training as the primary mission. Many large social health-related enterprises particularly support this center
Bai Shuzhong, lifetime honorary chairman, made a speech at the meeting
Professor Bai Shuzhong, lifetime honorary chairman of the China Health Promotion Foundation and member of the lifetime honorary director of Health Management Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, said that hopefully, through this platform, we can promote the innovation of theoretical research and practice of health management by uniting and relying on the national social organizations, scholars, practitioners, enterprises, and institutions; meanwhile, the health management personnel training should be strengthened; efforts should be made to improve the standard and service ability of health management service institutions; gradually solve the practical problems that affect the sustainable development of health management. Furthermore, we should combine production, learning and research, health management, and social health insurance and promote the rapid growth of our health-related industries.

The center employs seven specialists, including Professor Wang Hongguang, Academician Zhang Boli, Academician Gu Dongfeng, Academician Chen Xiangmei, Academician Han Yaling, Academician Wang Fusheng, and Professor Liu Youning, as members of the first Advisory Directing Committee, and 18 other experts, including Professor Yang Yuexin, as members of the expert committee.

Professor Wu Liuxin, former committee director of the health management branch of the Chinese Medical Association and executive deputy director of the health management research and training center, made a thematic report on the development vision and annual plan of the health management research and training center at the meeting. This report introduces the quality control on training in health management (physical examination) institutions, the training of chief examiners and high-quality health management services for chronic disease prevention and control, and the related research.
